Hand Picked Cha

by bambooforest » Aug 10th, '13, 00:53

Here's a good video of tea briefly being hand picked: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJOkNJ12 ... 57HmcAp_YA

Hand picking tea is labor intensive.

I don't know if anyone will be able to answer my question. But... how many tea leaves would you'd say are in 5 grams of tea? Anyone have any guesses?

According to online stats 10 cups raw tea = 1 cup dry finished tea. I will let you know for certain in 3-5 years.

Rolled Taiwanese oolong has full leaves intact. Here is an example:

You can measure 5g, witness the agony of the leaves and just count them. You can do this with Dan Cong or Wuyi Yan tea where the leaves are largely intact.
