Check out the yunnan sourcing vendor thread and read some reviews on blogs like the half-dipper.

Some of them are very good.

My 2009 Wu Liang Lan Xiang, for example, has aged very well in the four years since i bought it.
I have a few others where it's yet a bit early to tell. Just a few days ago i ordered one cake of the 2013 Da Si ancient arbor, which i found really good - but of course i can only tell in a few years if it also ages well.

Crazy how their young green puerh cakes have gone up. Is this a 2013 thing?

From what I have seen, all 2013 teas are pricier. I think the tea harvest quantity of maocha was way down from 2012.

I initially thought you said quality. If the quantity is down, is the quality up?

The company is excellent in my opinion. I just received another order EMS and have another order that I am waiting for that shipped China Post. I have not tried too much of their house brand tea, but what I have tried seems good. I especially liked the 2011 Yunnan Sourcing Hui Run Ripe Puerh. I have sampled a number of their 2012 and 2013 Sheng Productions, but it is hard to tell which will become great. The 2011 Hui Run is pretty damn good now.http://yunnansourcing.com/en/2011/1951- ... tain-.html

Always a good experience dealing with YS. I've really enjoyed their house brand cakes. Drinking the 2013 San Ke Shu right now....very nice. Since it's such a small production I like to imagine how much Hai Lang would charge for it...lol. Probably only big wigs would be able to get it.

I like YS cakes, but I think time will tell how they age.

Unsure about the quality but Yunnan Sourcing has always had great quality. As to the others I am not sure but the prices are up.

I loved my sample of the 2011 Hui Run of Bulang Mountain. I think I like the Man Tang Hong Te Ji (ripe) of 2012 even more. Both are very infusable. And of course there's the Lao Cha Tou, which just keeps going. All three of these give a good buzz for the buck, but especially the latter two imho. Mind you, I've grown tired of shu and so I've been looking over comments about YS greens, oolongs and blacks and have found lots of great feedback about them, too. Hope this helps.
Edit: Forgot to say, these three all yield nearly twice the infusions of a 2011 Dayi 7572 or 2010 Hong Yun.

In my opinion Yunnan Sourcing is the best I have found in China for Puerh Tea hands down. They have sold me some good tea and Scott's advise has always been on the mark. I just put in another order for several 2010 Golden Needle White Lotus cakes to age in the long term. He has always shipped quickly and he has been reliable. He does not seem to sell any bad tea. I have gotten a few terrible teas on Ebay. While I have gotten one or two from Scott that I may not have personally liked, all his teas have been of good quality. Even some of his cheaper teas have been good.
