I have no slightest idea about wordings in pot.
BUT found few similar to your 'wording style'
no chance to use yet . too big size

Same feelings than Tim and MarshalN, nice teapots but certainly not unique ones : http://www.teachat.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... ng#p246441 and maybe not that old (that's my feeling about the one I own).elps99 wrote:ANOTHER PIECE

But, anyway, still lovely pots
Re: Very unique old teapot
I'm not sure if you are asking or just showing? Your most recent pot doesn't bear much relation to the first few, which bear the marking Meng Chen or Meng Chen Zi. This is something of an homage to a class of teapots ostensibly popularized by a potter named Meng Chen, and widely copied. They are codified as one of "Four Treasures."

The rest of the text refers somewhat poetically to the size of the teapot - I think it might be borrowing from some text on gongfu cha that describes the ideal pot.
It might be worth doing a careful comparison of the texture of Marshal's pot and the quality of the carving to your pots.

Now that IS late-Qing's clay and firing (and the fashion of making)
Nice comparison!
