Re: Experienced with Kickstarter? Saw an Awesome Tea tumbler

I thought as much - the OP seemed too much like the typical "what do you think of this vendor" question that's really an ad for a vendor (of anything). I just didn't say it since I am usually already too cynical... (and no, I wasn't the one who notified Chip)

Turns out cynicism is warranted. Thanks Chip

Thing is, had he simply contacted me and told me what he was trying to do, I would likely have made a straight forward accommodation. It could have been interesting :!:

I'm shocked! Shocked, I tell you!

I'm also sarcastic! Sarcastic, I tell you! :D

It was probably one of the teaware artisans, who got jealous or something....

Yes, I imagined that something like this would be the case (that there may have been a way for him to openly share his project and solicit funds) and found myself curious around why the gentleman believed he had to be underhanded around his presentation to a forum of devoted tea drinkers whom might have willingly and simply gotten behind a fellow tea drinker's personal tea project.

Given the many cheaper and less clunky alternatives available (as Poohblah found on Taobao) I don't know why anyone would pay this much money for what ultimately could be vaporware

Well, looks like this tea tumbler probably won't make it. Kickstarter miracles have happened, though.

Meanwhile, for those of you who like sugar with your tea, you might check out this neato skull-shaped sugar spoon!

Yep, that tumbler definitely didn't make it. Not even close.

Meanwhile, that skull sugar spoon has really run away with it... :D
