Culture, language, tangibles, intangibles from countries known for tea. China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, India, etc...

Okinawa

by Drax » Nov 9th, '13, 10:02

I will be in Okinawa, Japan at the beginning of December. Does anybody know of potential tea stores or spots there? I don't recall hearing much about 'tea activity' in Okinawa, so I'm not expecting anything terribly earth-shattering.

I don't know about Stores but Okinawa has Tsuboya pottery which makes teaware so I'd imagine there has to be some sort of tea culture in Okinawa.

Oh, thanks, Adam! I hadn't realized that about Tsuboya. I don't know how much flexibility I'll have in my trip, but maybe I'll get to find some interesting stuff. I already have a list of books to buy ready. :D
