Sandals

Hi comrades,

I was thinking of buying sandals of a different kind:

Has/is anyone using them or something similar? Are they comfy/easy to wear?

I've just grown tired of wearing the typical Australian plastic thongs all my life. No "soul" in them.

Thanks in advance! :)

Not sure how this is related to tea, but yes, I've worn them! You want to make sure they're the right size. I used to wear leather-soled ones for formal functions, and they're no good on wet, slippery stuff until broken in! Rubber soles are the way to go for comfort and traction. I'll be in India next month--I should get a few pairs made for me! My feet are too big for standard sizes there.

I don't own anything like that particular style but the sandals I do have that have leather soles are cooler than other materials imo.

They need some breaking in and can be uncomfortable when new; you always want to avoid getting them wet or the dye may run or they may fall apart!

Thanks for the info.

OK here's the shoe chart the seller is providing:

I measured my feet and it is 11 inches. But I heard the shoe sizing in India is actually smaller than the US or UK, for example.

Should I get one size up?

Cheers :)

Maybe--their US 13-13.5 correlates with European size 47.5, so the chart is slightly off
