Official what White/Yellow are you drinking right now?

White and yellow teas are among the most subtle.

Drinking right now some Huoshan Huangya from Anhui, China.
Medium body and strong vegetal/sweet aftertaste, pretty good.
The flavor is a middle way between chinese green and white tea, hard to describe.
The method of harvest is one leaf and one bud, do not know if mechanically or hand picked.

Young, intact leaves--beautiful as well as tasty.
Thanks for sharing all this information about the Jungpana yellow. I would really like to try this tea.

That's one of reasons I haven't started selling tea

Come to Beijing again, tea is here waiting for you

Just had a nice session of wild white tea. Really nice, smooth, sweet and aromatic. Will age some of them for future consumption.
Yummy!

Such a quiet topic! I'm finishing off my supply of jasmine silver needles. I have a new Shyrabbit yunomi that looks beautiful with my copper-glazed pot from Kim Eung Chul via Tead Off. Because the yunomi has half the capacity of the pot I have an excuse to use the copper-glazed server.

Never, but I will try some in the near future.
How would you describe it?

its queer because hj's jsyz resembles at least 60% of an anji-baipian that i used to drink..

i've had really nice JSYZ more than 10 years ago (supposedly the real thing, as claimed by a local tea-merchant), the soup was yellow, light ochre, rich, thick, sweet, a mild oat-fragrance, a tinge of umami, quite unlike that of hojo's

A tea friend came to my place early in the morning today. We had Fuding Fujian wild White tea, jasmine scented white tea and followed by two other lighter tea. It is nice to start the day with lighter teas especially early in morning when the mood is mellow and the atmosphere is still.

Cheers! :D
