Not fair! I always start my day with a tiny gaiwan 1-steep of black tea, then open up to steep after steep of sencha after sencha and whatever else. So I voted Japanese.
[Edit by Chip: *blows whistle* and cries"foul." Kudos also to the FukaMan. He mentioned a poll idea for this forum, which I promptly stole and made it a part of this TeaDay forum. So, look for a daily poll whenever possible. This is getting exciting!!!]

Tie Luo Han. I used to think this tea was mediocre. Now that the tea is almost gone, I finally learned how to brew it.
Egad!

from Best Tea House HK. i still don't recommend it though. it's far too difficult to brew to be worth the price.

Not to be outTEAed by Fukaman, I finished off a few teas in a blend of dribs and drabs. Appox equal parts Shuppin sencha, Gyokuro Karigane, and Matcha. This stuff is stunning. Pouring first steep, soooo green.

I started off with some Yutaka Midori this morning. Then I waited for my Dens order to arrive before having anything else. Got it and proceeded to brew up some Guricha. Now I'm trying to resist cracking open the Sencha Den special tin can or Fukamushi-Sencha Maki.

Prepare to throw tomatoes: I am drinking a Starbucks cafe latte!
We just returned from a flute recital when a HUGE storm blew thru Indy.
While cleaning out "hole" (box where the guys in the office throw their nasty food trash) I found a sample of green tea from Adagio on the shelf next to the microwave. Serendipity! It's a year old Adagio Sencha premier, and I didn't care for it back then. It will be interesting to see what I think tomorrow when I get to work and start my pot rolling!
Almost as exciting as finding a $5 bill in your coat pocket. . .

Not tea, but just as important, my snazzy new cup came today:
But as much as I want to drink a gallon of sencha from it tonight, I have to wait.
The care instructions say its important to soak it in water over night.
