Yes- an 8 oz white porcelain tea mug. I have a gyokuro tea set, but I like to drink an 8 oz cup of tea.
By the way, I really love the Sae Midori Sencha that everyone mentions. I also ordered more gyokuro superior from Hibiki-an, so I will report back after I make the 1st brew.

I haven't opened my gyokuro from O-Cha yet--need to finish some more Aoi sencha first. Today, enjoying the sencha from Petr's shino chawan

First ever Sencha experience, stuff from a tea vendor in Dublin, everyday drinking quality based on price, leaf quality and general experience with this vendor, and it blew my mind! Cannot wait to order some really good quality stuff and start exploring the Japanese tea world!
Its vegetal, sweet, kind of astringent, mouth watering, just is a great experience :O I wish I'd done this before XD

Hope you have many more "mind blowing" experiences ... not to mention the " ... must ... sit ... down ..." moments!
Oh, and keep your eye on NOTTI!

Enjoying more Aoi sencha the past two days, from my Seigan Oribe Hagi and a Yi Yong Cheol pot, and not even in the morning--afternoon and evenings. Tasty 24/7, this stuff. Now on the 4th infusion and a spicy undertone is apparent along with the sweetness. Mmm.

Matcha Monday
Okay, I am shaking now. I need food, and to not have a large coffee at work the afternoon of Matcha Monday!

Today is a O-Cha Japanese tea festival in my kitchen. I began the day with Sencha Karigane Otsuusan, followed by gyokuro Yame. A brief pause to wash up from a cooking session and now I'm relaxing with iri genmaicha. This genmaicha lasts through so many steeps (5!) that I may need to switch from my 200 ml pot to something smaller.
