I was tired of having my tea, teaware, and kettle strewn out in different areas of the kitchen. So I decided to make myself a tea brewing station where I would have everything I need right in one place.
It took some looking, but I found this antique handmade hutch at an antique store and negotiated with them for $115. Then I cleaned it up, changed out the hardware to give it a new look, drilled a hole in the back to run cords, and finally installed a key hook I found so I'd have a place to hang my measuring spoons. Then all I had to do was move my stuff in. I placed it right next to our water cooler, so I can get fresh filtered water easily without having to go to the kitchen.
I couldn't be happier with it so far. Not only is it super functional, it's also a great display for my (limited) teaware collection. What do you guys think?

Re: My new Tea Brewing Station!
I have the tea I drink the most on the second shelf up top. In the bottom I have extra cups (in case we have company) and tea I don't drink as often.

Nice! Especially great that got some vintage cupboard and not a sterile new one... has more charm and doesn't air out strong smells... sweet!
Re: My new Tea Brewing Station!
that gives me ideas for the custom tea station I want to build for myself
I like the idea of the water cooler right beside it. Of course, I might have to set rules with my wife and room-mate to make sure they don't just guzzle it all (unless they are chipping in for the water lol).

I refill ours at this filtered water vending machine thing at the grocery store whenever we buy groceries. Costs $1.50 for 5 gallons. A lot cheaper than bottled water.

Stand up. But it is next to our dinning room table, so I can sit and wait on it to finish if I like.

As said, nice photo's and nice brewing spot. I just wanted to add the collection inside is really nice and well rounded, (not just in the subtle forms but also in colorwise). I love the set!
