Strolling around Mumbai today looking to buy some teas. Let's see, I think there is about 30 million people that live in Mumbai, unofficially. What a place. So much life and color. Great food, people, and wonderful to walk around Colaba and the Fort exploring the colonial buildings. But, when it comes to buying some good tea, nothing in sight.
I wound up at the Tea Centre, near Churchgate. It is an old dining room with cloth covered tables. They have a small shop selling commercial Indian teas. Not for me. But, I did sit in the dining room drinking a pot of Nilgiri 2nd flush with scones, jam, and fresh cream for 'high tea'. All of $4. Luckily, I did bring some Mim's 2011 Silver Tips with me on this trip which I am drinking daily.
