He has such a sweet energy, too - which expresses itself in his work. I have only one small piece by him but it's just so very graceful, balanced and... happy. That sounds ridiculous, but it really is; it lifts my spirits to use it. Watch the vid and you'll see what I mean.

Thanks for that one, Cory, a real treat!

Hah, I hadn't read what you wrote here Kikula before clicking the link and watching the video. Came here to express my appreciation and admiration for the joy with which Cory creates his work. Truly inspiring on many levels and I completely get what you mean regarding this being transferred into the pieces.

Good and happy end-note for the evening. I'm off to bed!

These were my words, exactly.

The best part was seeing cory making pieces similar in shape and style to ones owned ... and thinking, "OH, that is how he did the koudai, the wavy rim, the uneven walls by simple presses on the inside."

Very cool!

Beautiful. I love the way the delicate green/blue works with the rocky contours of this one, it's really quite something.

But now you've made it so intriguing, you have to try!

(bright diffuse light, telephoto lens to permit light to get around it into the cup.....)
