Thanks! It's good to know that tea can still age well under what may be unideal conditions.

Strolling around Mumbai today looking to buy some teas. Let's see, I think there is about 30 million people that live in Mumbai, unofficially. What a place. So much life and color. Great food, people, and wonderful to walk around Colaba and the Fort exploring the colonial buildings. But, when it comes to buying some good tea, nothing in sight.

I wound up at the Tea Centre, near Churchgate. It is an old dining room with cloth covered tables. They have a small shop selling commercial Indian teas. Not for me. But, I did sit in the dining room drinking a pot of Nilgiri 2nd flush with scones, jam, and fresh cream for 'high tea'. All of $4. Luckily, I did bring some Mim's 2011 Silver Tips with me on this trip which I am drinking daily. :D

Wild Shan Cha. For the moment, the best Taiwanese black tea I have ever had.

On Yancha rampage today...done,
1. Shui Xian
2. Ban Tian Yau
3. Rougui
4. Jin Liu Tiao

Half drunk after that but double happiness. :D
This year the Yancha quality skydived big time. For the same yearly budget (usually US$60-80/100gm), nothing qualifies for any purchase or collection. I suspect it will get worse. Sigh! :(

Having a rather aromatic Qimen today. Nice smells of chocolate and fruit.

Ye Sheng Hong Cha - Wild Yunnan. I like that the flavor doesn't change much over multiple infusions like some other yunnan (gold).

Yunnan Jig this morning (though I just started drinking Adagio's Irish Breakfast and it might be my new favorite).

Six inches of snow and just about a quarter inch of ice on top of that last night with more on the way. This calls for some lapsang souchong! :? 8)

I just had a cup of Earl Grey this afternoon. That's it for today since I have to get up early tomorrow.

A 2nd flush Darjeeling tea from the Makabari estate. I had it this afternoon and steeped it for 5 mins since I like it strong.
