Dian Hong. Running very low on this nice tea. Very nice comfortable tea, sweet and smooth. Hmmm...need to look around to stock up...
... Qimen also running on reserve. The future for good tea is really bleak. :(

Chamraj Nilgiri with 1 TB of wild desert honey (raw) and a little half & half. Oh it was awesome... The perfect cup of tea. It got rid of my headache very quickly. :D

This batch comes from a cultivar introduced during the japanese occupation (1895 ~ 1945).

What was interesting, in my opinion, is the fact that is not fully oxidized. There were even some, slightly more greener than this one.
What I wonder is whether it was done intentionally or not.

Maybe it's one of the Assam hybrids? I'm not very knowledgeable, I have had a few Taiwanese blacks and it reminded me of the jade cultivar because of the shape, texture, and color. Is this a guessing game or do you know the answer, because I'm curious :D

Yes, one of the few Assam cultivar's hybrids still existing.

Smooth, complex aroma, lingering aftertaste. The storage, during this 9 yeas, has been pretty good.
In my opinion, not the right candidate for further aging.

Cool, I have some red jade from TTC and I find it has a predominant taste in early steepings of sweet potato, but it changes to something that is a unique taste to me.

Try this one from 2005. In my opinion, the character, the aroma and the tea itself is different from those harvested in more recent years.
These nine years have certainly changed, albeit mildly, this tea.
Furthermore, it is rare to find aged Red Jade, since this cultivar was introduced in the year 1999.

I really like Peng Gai SPs, they are easier to handle with a finger. ROC genuine ones are really dream :)
