There might be some Spring teas available, but the selection will be very limited, 2 or 3 at best.sherubtse wrote:Will you be selling spring teas, or just selling off your remaining stock?

Tony, with each chapter's closing there is an opportunity to open a new one. May your next chapter be as interesting as your last.
On a somewhat selfish, personal note, I was so looking forward to Origin OTTI encore ... err ... encores! Maybe again one day somewhere in the future these chapters will converge once again.

Re: SilentChaos - Origin Tea, Oolong & Puerh
This is indeed sad news. I recently aquired two teapots from you, they are excellent performers (and beautiful), far better than any of my other (cheaper) pots... I was looking forward to trying some of your Yancha as well... Might have to hurry up and get some before it runs out.
It seems your store was held in high esteem by pretty much everyone on here (and elsewhere), which says a lot. Best of wishes for the future, and (for purely selfish reasons) I hope you will return to the tea business again some time in the future.

Just placed an order....I'm on my next to last pouch of green oolong from all my different suppliers, and it would not do to run out. I picked up some of the more inexpensive spring tea from last year that should be excellent for icing this summer as the weather heats up....

The hongni pots are basically what other vendors call modern zhuni from the 90s? Very pretty!

Yes indeed! In fact. the certificates for all of the HongNi pots actually state ''Zhuni'. I prefer labeling these type of pots as 'HongNi' to avoid any unnecessary confusion and/or misunderstanding .
Enjoy

To promote the fact that some modern Yixing pots can be and are indeed well-made with good clay, Origin Tea is running a store wide special:
Until the 31st of May 2014, if your order includes a pot from our modern Yixing section, you are entitled to use the coupon code: ModYix and get 15% off your entire order!
http://www.origintea.net/teaware/modern-yixing
Origin's modern Yixing offerings are sourced directly from the reputable JiuHan studio in Yixing, allowing us to undercut mainland prices whilst ensuring quality. All pots were (half)handmade, i.e. mold assisted construction, using pure zisha.
