Tea Masters Tea Boutique

by sherubtse » May 7th, '14, 14:39

I see that Stephane Erler has opened an online tea store ("tea boutique") to make purchasing his teas easier. Interestingly, he claims that he will charge customers in a variety of currencies so as to avoid exchange rate costs. This is great news for us Canadians. :D

Just checked this out. Not bad choices and pretty fair pricing!

Currency-wise I'm not sure there's a huge difference. I will however say I've used the online site -- shipping was free and fast, things came well-packed and I already have more items in my cart! :)

Ooh nice find! I ordered from him before, and this certainly beats requesting a price list.

1 CAD = 0.92 USD

0.92 USD = 27.70 NTD

1 CAD = 27.64 NTD

You have to pay to exchange one currency for the other so this saves people from currency exchange fees.

I doubt it will make much difference though, since Stephane Erler will need to exchange whatever you pay him to the currency he uses, and he's probably considered that.

Agreed. Let's say that the exchange fees are included in his prices !

Ah yes. I see when I switch between USD and CAD prices for a tea that the exchange rate is taken into consideration. Oh well ....

I guess his statement " This means you can pay directly with your currency (via Paypal) without additional exchange rate costs." refers just to the conversion fee.

Yep. I tried playing around with the currencies when placing my order; there was no real difference. Someone has to eat the cost of conversion and it's usually the customer.

I just placed my first order. Bought some tea wares. They look quite good. Of course I will write a review when they come. :D

I'm excited!
