Hi new member! Need help identifying a tea please

by Jack_teachat » Feb 4th, '08, 05:50

Hi

My name is Jack and I'm from Leicester in England. I've been drinking green tea for about a year now but after getting a tea pot and some Sencha for Christmas from a Japanese friend of mine I've recently been getting really into it! I intend to get myself some good first flush Sencha pretty soon (probably from O-Cha), but I was going to wait until the first harvest of 2008.

I was just wondering if anybody could help me identify the bag of tea which I recieved as a gift as there is no English on the packet, here are some images...

Last one is a reproduction of the comapany's logo (as I could not get a good photo)

Look foward to chatting to you all!

Best Wishes

Better get me some more tea then!

Just thought someone might recognise the packaging or company logo?

Beware on tea sold in clear plastic bags in general.

I just wrote about awaiting shincha from Japan, and it is getting close. O-Cha has great sencha.

Welcome to TeaChat, we have a bunch of European members, many actively post.

While you are here, visit the newest forum if TeaChat called TeaDay. It is located under Teas. Vote in our daily TeaPoll and please share what you are drinking today, probably Japanese sencha? Stop by often and see what everyone else is sipping.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

The kanji on the front says: Bancha. It's the type of tea, not the company name.
