I really like tangerine-stuffed pu'er. It's usually deliciously balanced, especially with bits of the peel like jogrebe is using *drool*Salsero wrote:Is that the one from Puerhshop. com? I just ordered some from there. Wherever it is from, what's it like? Is it good?

Happy birthday to you Sky!!!
And congrats to you Ladytiger on your journey into the world of Japanese greens.
Jeez...I need to be 3 Chips. One can drink greens allll day long.
One can drink oolong allll day long.
And one can drink pu-erh allll day long.
I don't know how anyone can physically enjoy all three, and I did not even mention Black or White.
There are just too few hours in a day to drink all the tea I would like to. Hearing what everyone is drinking everyday is really incredible though...I taste it through everyone else.

Today I`ve had some Pu Er (loose pu er, nothing fancy) brewed in a gaiwan.
Other than that I`m working on my japanese green tea brewing. That is an art I just admire more and more, it is not easy :S Doing another try now in my search of the perfect tamaryokucha, wish me luck....

That was a complete failure, tasted like grass....a dog pissed on

I only have 5-7 open, which is a lot for me. Green Oolongs are very sensitive to oxygen so it's my habit to only have about 2-3 open at a time to prevent waste, but since it's rainy time in Seattle I have a couple of other less sensitive teas open as well.
Today I started with a jade TGY from TeaSpring. My first brewing was aweful, so I did something a little weird, I read the brewing instructions for the tea on the vendor's site. Much different result.
All this talk of tea inventory and tasting has encouraged me to brush off an old project, more on that in a couple of weeks if all goes well...

Thank you! Now time to relax with some tea, probably some Genmaicha Extra Green, and read the booklet that came with my tea. I feel like such a newbie at tea after looking at everyone's tea and teaware collection.Chip wrote:And congrats to you Ladytiger on your journey into the world of Japanese greens.

Happy birthday sky!
I just brewed up some Korean green tea, still feeling it out to see if I really like it or not.

Chip- I got it from shan shui teas. I wrote about it a little while ago on my blog, if you're curious.
