- Teapot name: Han-bian
- Clay type: QingShuiNi
- Size of pot: 280ml
- Age: modern
- Pour: about 11 sec
- Source: home-made :)
- Tea Pairing: black tea of Yixing
The capacity is just right for me, and the handle is very comfortable.

Keep in mind my pot is only 60ml. Even though it has a wide opening for it's proportion, it may still not accommodate the very long dancong leaves. Personally, on the rare occasion I drink dancong, I prefer to use a gaiwan. I'd think this lu ni would be just a bit too porous to protect the higer notes and aromas of dancong.

zared wrote:@mcrdotcom, sweet pot! What size is it? Is that the tiny gaiwan from same vendor?
I realise I never answered this question! It was asked a long time ago, but oh well!

The pot is 60mL, and the Gaiwan was a 60mL from Origin Tea as well! :) All these months on the pot has been going a long nicely :)

I've been meaning to upload photos of some of my new pots, I'll add this one as well to see how it's been going :)

I keep hoping that I'm going to find that same stack in some Chinatown market basement, or buried in the back of a dusty shelf one day. No luck yet, but thanks for helping to keep the dream alive! Out of curiosity, did they still have an original price tag on them so we can have a good laugh followed by a good cry? :D

Ugh, that always happens to me. I never order pots bigger than 120ml but when I get them they always seem to be over 250!

Hi tingjunkie,

Keep the dream alive always. Last month my friend bought a super rare early 70s pot in a whole set (with cups and plates) for US$10. It is still possible. Most important we must hunt around. I actively hunt for tea stuff for 2 decades almost everyday! To us our motto is 可遇不可求. Meaning to say getting a treasure is by "chance of meeting due to fate, and not by begging for that treasure" so just move around with an open mind and hope some treasure will appear due to fate! The fun is paying a pittance for a great find. One collector told me that every treasure can be owned if you willing to pay but it is more fun of finding it cheap.

Well, to answer to your question, those pots used to goes around at US$10 and you sometime get it free when you buy tea. And now, I don't think anyone will let go even it is if a few dozen times that price.

Have a great day my friend!
Cheers! :D
