Brought some teapots from my travels in Taiwan, had to limit what I brought otherwise I took many more. I have no idea how to show the pictures, they seem to be too large or something to displace. Any advice on this?

This one is about 100ml, supposed to be 80'ies qing shui ni

Slightly too big for me (about 180ml), I use it for hongcha. Supposed to be an 80'ies hong ni.

And 2 other teapots I had to accept as a gift but are not for making tea. They are perhaps 30-40ml.

Looks like a very productive trip. Shuiping should serve you well.

I like shuiping the most, was just hoping to find one with a slightly bigger sprout for a faster pour. It's just a pitty the hongni is so big(wanted one for good yancha) and I always drink tea alone because the clay feels awesome :D They dropped me of in a big warehouse with 10000's of teapots, it was quite hard to find a decent pot since most of my information comes from the internet and I never touched and saw so many different pots at once. It made me realise I know nothing at all.

I'm here for quite a while but just did a lot of reading so far. Since there are a few experts here I'd like to hear their opinion on this pot. It supposed to be a Factory 1 pot from the early 80's. Any thoughts?

The seal is not an authentic one from 80s, I believe.

Hmm I'm only seeing one shui ping. Side question: do the more angular modern looking pots have names? Or are they relatively recent compared to the traditionally shaped pots (xishi, shui ping, fanggu, etc.)

什锦壶, 羡慕羡慕。(shijin pots, i'm envious!)

it has become some kind of "peer" pressure and "standard" amongst taiwanese collectors to have at least a set of it!

the Shi jin series was first made in '82, and consistently in production even up till the round laser label period.. (93-97).

each of the pots have names, and are made from different types of clay each

段泥六方 - duan ni hexagonal
紫泥方钟 - zi ni fang zhong
调砂石瓢 - tiao sha shi piao
三足炉 - san zu lu, three legged burner
绿泥凹肩 - lv ni ou jian, green clay curved shoulder
黑泥鱼罩 - hei-ni yu zhao (fish trap)
拼紫虚扁 - pin-zi xu bian (flat purple)
青灰合碗 - qing hui he wan
红泥君德 - hong ni jun de
绿泥西施 - lv ni xi shi.

a nice snapshot of the clay types that had been developed or used in the early 80s/earlier.

I've had that Xu Bian (expects that to be late-80s~ version) before..used to be a killer for SX..

No.4 mine Pin Zini...worked very fine with Yancha!

i just saw a few pieces, they poured too slowly despite being a nice stream.

any idea on the proportion of what they mixed in to give this pin zi color?
