Why's the Rum Gone?

by teaspoon » Sep 29th, '05, 14:13

Hey guys, what do you use to flavor the rum tea? Just wondering; I got a sample because there were a lot of conflicting reviews so I decided to decide for myself, and I have to say I'm unimpressed. I mean, it's good tea, I just don't taste the rum so much. Perhaps you could tweak the amount of flavoring added to the leaves, or find some other flavoring that would be stronger?

...or I could just throw a shot of Captain Morgan's in my tea... whichever works.

We use an alcohol-free rum flavoring, which is a more subtle flavor than many of our teas. We have indeed received some other feedback about the lack of rum flavor, so will work definitely work on it!

Chris, amaretto would be wonderful! My mother used to actually make me tea when I was a kid with a little (non-alcoholic) amaretto flavoring.
I came in from the wilderness, a creature void of form.

I love Amaretto! Even better would be amaretto + chocolate! (Hot cocoa with amaretto is a winter staple for me...)

Sounds yummy - hey! can you make a B-52 tea, or maybe buttery nipples tea? ~Rhonda
