They are coming up at an auction. Starting bid is at $200. I don't know if they are shou or sheng, or how old they might be. There used to be some knowledgeable Pu heads here but many have not posted in a long time. Maybe someone like Shah, who seems to know everything might have some useful info on these.

Don't think we need any expert to tell. The photos only show wrappers and tin and I doubt anyone can say anything correct on the content inside. Any other descriptions are just words, probably far from the actual quality of the tea.

These aren't brands I knew of off hand from the early 20th century, so I know nothing, as well as not know anything *real* about the cakes themselves.

Well, tongqinghao, of course, but I have never seen them in baskets. However, there are modern productions, Fujin in 2004, Sanhetang in 2011 that package magnum puerh in baskets...

If these were from the era they are trying to mimic, they probably wouldn't be on an online auction. And there would be at least three more zeros on the price tag.
