Hello there...in addition to getting o-cha...I was wondering what people thought of the den's tea - especially gyokuro or matcha???

Those 2 are becoming my fav....
I have tried ito-en tea and I am throughly impressed with it (my other post) - however I seek a change and two names popped up - den's tea and o-cha...

Thank you for all you recommendations...

If you want a good gyokuro I would suggest trying out Lupicia. Particularly the Yame Gyokuro Vil. Hoshino. I want to try the Yame Gyokuro Vil. Hoshino Shincha, but I already got some of the regular one so I can't justify dropping that kind of cash on what is probably almost and identical tea.

I also hear hibiki-an is very good.

I'll try out some gyo from Den's when I put in an order.

Pentox...one question - which one are you trying right now? I mean if the one you have is almost identical but a bit cheaper - I would rather go the cheaper way...
Thanks.

I have the Yame Gyokuro Vil. Hoshino. That is $25.00 / 50g. The other one is the Yame Gyokuro Vil. Gyokuro Shincha, that one is like $28.00 / 50g. Personally if I were buying a new one I would go with the Shincha. I have no idea how that one tastes, but I imagine it's going to be better. But the non-shincha is amazing as it is.
