I am relatively new to TeaChat. As most here, I was a "lurker" long before I registered and it is great to finally be a part of this wonderful community! I have met some of you (Chip, Wes, Mary...to name a few), but would like to officially introduce myself to the rest of you wonderful tea drinkers/brewers/people! My name is Nick, I am a college student at William and Mary double majoring in Environmental Science and Environmental Geology. I have been drinking loose leaf tea for 2 years now and have done extensive research/readings on the topics of current tea processing, the history of tea, and japanese pottery. My brewing vessels include a Tokoname Kyusu (6.5 oz) a 7oz Yixing, and my newest addition, a Hagi Kyusu, cup, and yuzamashi (water cooler) from the same potter in japan. My favorite teas include TaiPing Hou Kui, Sencha, Silver Needles, and White Peony. Thank you all for letting me share this great culture we all help to create! See you around the forum!

Welcome Nick! I'm rather new myself. Silver Needles and White Peony are my two favorite whites, but I mostly enjoy oolongs along with some blacks too. I'm just getting started on greens, so much to learn! But this is the place as you know! So many nice people with so much knowledge!
