Are there other milk or orchid oolongs out there that you like?
Today I tried some milk oolong from Teacuppa, and it is so GOOD. When it arrived yesterday, I kept sniffing the inside of the tin until I nearly inhaled a leaf, trying to figure out just what memories the aroma of the dry leaves brought to mind. After several hours, I finally realized it was my great great grandmother's peach pie, you know that warm and sugary doughey crust with thick peach juice baked through it. Ok, the tea isn't anywhere near that, but that's where the dry leaves took my mind.
Anyway...the liquid is light and golden and beautiful in a glass, while the taste is smooth and orchid-like. Second steep brings up the peach notes. By the 3rd steep, it was gone, oh but those first two...yummm.
This is the kind of tea that makes us all tea-aholics.
