good tea buying sites

by CuriousSipper » Jul 11th, '07, 12:56

I want to sample the variety, do you guys know any reliable, low cost, but quality bulk tea sites. I'm paranoid about giving out my credit card number, so rarely shop online.

thanks

Since said low cost, I'd start with these first:

http://www.silvertipstea.com for single estate black teas
http://www.redblossomtea.com for oolongs
http://www.adagio.com for a good mix of everything

They all have good prices, fast shipping, and great customer service if you should have any problems or questions about your tea.

These other sites have higher prices, but the higher price does equal higher quality.

http://www.rishi-tea.com for a good mix of everything
http://www.o-cha.com for japanese green tea

If your just starting out, I would stick with the first ones. You'll get a chance to see what you like and what you don't without spending a lot of money. They're good quality teas. And youre credit card will be safe.

:cough: http://www.adagio.com :cough: hehe.

I also very much enjoy the following for herbals:

http://www.taytea.com/ for beautiful, beautiful herbal blends.
http://www.mountainroseherbs.com wondering spice and loose herbs selection. Not sure about their teas though, but great if you're interested in blending your own.
