Hello communiTEA drinkers,
Happy Friday!!!
How are you enjoying the Rooibos Vanilla chai?
Re: Welcome to the communiTEA, Day 6! (January 17th)
I had to finish my cup before I could post, because I was enjoying it so much. From the initial scent from the bag that stays to the end of the cup, to the flavor that's strong enough be a treat but not overwhelm, this is a good tea.Bridgette wrote: Hello communiTEA drinkers,

How are you enjoying the Cinnamon Rooibos chai?
Re: Welcome to the communiTEA, Day 6! (January 17th)
I finally remembered to try a tea before I load it with sweetener and cream. Maybe I have become so accustomed to very sweet, creamy tea but drinking this straight tasted very medicinal to me. I really did not enjoy it. Then I added 1 teaspoon of Splenda and 2 tablespoons of Italian sweet cream and bam!.... A perfect cup of sweet spicy chai. Lovely

I love rooibos and what's not to love about spiced rooibos. The cinnamon and chai make a lovely warming tea that doesn't overwhelm.

The smell of this one is amazing; I want it to taste exactly how it smells. It may have been a problem with how I steeped it but I just didn't get that strong full chai flavor I wanted from this one. I love the option of an herbal chai for night time but it just doesn't have the rounded richness for me that a chai with black tea has. I tried it first without adding anything and really only tasted that red rooibos flavor (maybe some apple?) with a strong cinnamon licorice-y finish. When I added a little bit of steamed milk it was fine, perfectly okay, but nothing special.

I'm admittedly not a chai person, at all. Though this is somewhat toned down on the spice. I assume it's the vanilla helping to do that, though I can't taste it, lol.

Chai is fine, but the vanilla just lifts this flavor to another level for me. Mellows the taste in the best way!

On the nose: Cinnamon, ginger, and vanilla predominate for me. I'm not much of a chai drinker so here goes. I am afraid it will be way too strong for me. The ginger gives it a peppery nose which also scares me.Bridgette wrote: Hello communiTEA drinkers,

It's mild and the ginger predominates. For me, maybe more vanilla and rooibos? If I tasted this before buying it, I wouldn't buy it but if I found one I liked it would be a perfect Tea to drink with or after dinner.

I love Rooibos! Vanilla Chai, Vanilla, and Almond Rooibos are my favorites! They are a great dessert tea- I happen to think Rooibos tastes really good with milk and maybe a little sugar or honey. I can buy this one at my local tea shop, so again, I was familiar with this one.

I received Cinnamon Rooibos Chai tea according to the package. It was a decent herbal tea that didn't attract too much attention. Nothing could ever beat Thai Chai though!Bridgette wrote: Hello communiTEA drinkers,

This was a very nice cup! I had mine with milk, and I couldn't taste much vanilla so I added just a dash of vanilla syrup. Great to unwind with after work, and warmed me up nicely after a gloomy rainy day.
