April 5th Discussion

by Bridgette » Apr 5th, '20, 00:00

Hello communiTEA drinkers,

Today we have Ginger Peach!

Adagio's Ginger Peach Black has the soft warmth of ginger with the sweet depth of summer ripe peaches and apricots, paired beautifully with tangy, naturally citrusy Ceylon black tea. Enjoyable any time of year as a hot tea, we find it to be particularly refreshing iced.

How do you enjoy it?

Not really my taste. Didn't think to try it iced! Off to give it a chance as an iced tea otherwise, down the drain it goes. ETA: Icing it considerably negated the ginger which was what I had trouble with but also? No peach whatsoever now. I'm drinking it because I can't pass up iced tea, but I won't be purchasing it.

This is my first post as a new CommuniTEA participant!
I'm not really a flavored tea drinker, but this is giving me a chance to explore new tastes.
I found the ginger rather subtle, overlapped by the peach flavor.
Marigold flowers? Sometimes less is more!

The ginger really shines in this blend! The zing is tempered by the lovely warmth of the peach/apricot notes. I added a touch of raw organic honey. I believe I could easily drink this as a cold brewed iced tea during the hot summers months. Will likely be ordering some of this soon!!

I don't dislike this tea, but it is just okay. First, I tried it without any sugar or milk. Then, I made the mistake of adding oat milk to it which seemed to mute the nice ginger and fruit flavor. I recommend drinking it without milk to really enjoy.

I was looking forward to the Communitea but found myself especially taken by the concept this afternoon. Many are likely rethinking our definition of community these days. How lovely to consider the same tea on the same day with an entire group of people during this time.

As for the tea, I love ginger and spice. I’m not a fan of fruity-sweet teas, so the blend for this tea was a nice surprise!

It’s OK. I may not like ginger plus peach. Neither flavor is dominant. I smell more ginger but the taste disappoints me.
