So I'm about to run out of Silver Needle, and I am in doubt about what to do. If I order new supplies now, I suspect I will get last year's harvest, but if I can hold out for a few weeks, the '08s might be available.
So, should I just bite the bullet and shell out for a year old Silver Needle, or should I use this time to get better acquainted with green?
Any advice appreciated.
You probably won't be getting 08 silver needle for quite a while I think. Unless you're ordering directly from china you're probably not getting it airshipped over.
Darjeeling second flush though should be a pretty good bet. There are assorted Tea calendars out there that show when particular regions harvest and ship their tea, so if you're worried about freshness take a look at one of those.

There is this.

It would take about 4 weeks to arrive from China but it's something to consider.

Yeah, either buy samples to get you by or switch to something until the harvest comes in..It shouldn't be too much longer..
Don't always believe what you think!
