Rooibos: steep or simmer?

The last few weeks I've re-discovered Rooibos and noticed that a few websites suggest simming it. Any thoughts or suggestions?

all it matters is hot water and time.
pretty hard to mess up herbal infusions so have some fun with it :)

I like to steep it 10 minutes or more to get all the flavor out. Rooibos never goes bitter like tea does.
