Today is the perfect day for TEA!!! So, drink up and see you on TeaDay!

Welcome to TeaDay, pour a cup, pull up a chair and then share what is that cup of yours today...all day! And while you are here, take a look at what is in other TeaChatters ' cups as well...

Victoria cried foul, we have asked about a bunch of other teas and tisanes, yet not her favorite. So, today we shall correct that oversight.

Oolong, wulong, pouchong...have you tried it, do you like it, do you love it, is it maybe your favorite tea? Or perhaps it is a yet undiscovered tea for you. Share with everyone if you care to where you stand on Oolong. You can also share what type of oolong you prefer.

Other than non-descript Chinese restaurant tea, I've never had it. Not sure if that restaurant tea was actually Oolong or not.

I have a sample of Adagio's Jasmine #5 sitting in the cabinet, though. Just hadn't had time to try it out yet...

I haven't tried a non-jasmine oolong, but I love jasmine so much I have to say I love oolong tea. I will definitely try some other kinds one of these days.

I'll have some right now! Oh maybe not, Assam tea looks good this morning.

I plan on getting some samples along with my next non pu tea purchase.

Currently drinking: 2006 Ancient Tree "Bai Zhen Jin Lian" Ripe Pu-erh (decent for the price)

I have tried oolong and liked it. Probably won't become a habit, though.

Guzzling more Silver Needle from Adagio today. It has a stronger, "smokier" flavor than my previous varieties. I like it.

Yesterday was not a good day. Only had one cup of tea and everything went wrong. no tea -- bad day. Coincidence?

Yes, I have it often (more often during vacations when I have more time for gong fu brewing), like it a lot, less than gyokuro though.

This morning Yunnan golden tips for breakfast and now houjicha with my lunch.

Yep, I can relate. No coincidence at all.

Well I guess you all know where I stand. If I don't have at least one oolong somewhere in my day I feel very deprived. I prefer greener oolongs, but I've been finding some very nice wuyi lately and surprised by some nice aged and pu erh.

But for breakfast, I am so in Love with my Yunnan Gold. It Almost makes getting up not such a bad thing. Almost.

Oh boy...I'm definitely a bit oolong crazed. The diversiTEA of character...anything from deeply oxidized Bai Hao to light, green-like Tung Ting...fruity to floral...simply amazing! No one oolong tells the whole story. If you have only tried one, you have only seen a tiny part of the picture.

Starting today the usual way, with my cup of Yunnan Gold. Now craving oolong, thank you very much...second cup will be early this morning!

As CynTEAa noted, there is a tremendous diversity within oolongs and I've had good and bad experiences. I guess overall I'd say I like oolong, but I'm kind of picky.

Just got a very strange oolong called "strong fire" from Tao of Tea. If Starbucks served oolong, it would taste like this. The tea looks and smells like charcoal and so my expectations weren't very high, but the flavor is actually quite good. Toasty, but not burnt. Despite the heavy oxidation, it definitely tastes like an oolong, not a wannabe black.

My favorite oolong so far is Adagio's oolong #40. I really need to order some more of that.

I'm off from work this morning and am relaxing with a cup of Twinings Prince of Wales.

yes Ive tried and liked oolongs but so far only the wuyi oolongs ...Im VERY curious about green and jasmine oolongs, they will definitely be on my next order somewhere!
Today I woke up with an assam/irish breakfast mix and then I just finished off two cups of kukicha that I got as a free sample from Adagio a lil while back. Im surprised that I like it actually..but its pretty good!
