i saw this question on teachat from Princess, but none of us was around to answer...
so I am hoping that someone can confirm (or reject) my theory of why this is. I always assumed that it was the acidity of many of the fruity herbals that cause the curdling effect in milk...kind of like adding vinegar to whole milk to "imitate" buttermilk (which works wonderfully if you're in a pinch for scones).
is that right? i've never added milk to my herbals (other than rooibos) because of hearing this before hand.

Since you are just learning the forum ways, I wanted to make sure you realized that we're not trying to be "snotty" (although i was sick last week, I'm feeling much better) -- this is just the sense of humor we've got on TeaChat coming out. It may take some getting used to, but we're actually all rather affable (except, maybe Ilya) and easy to get along with!
Sorry if there were any hurt feelings!

At least you didn't have to learn the hard way like Floridahawk and some of our other, thinner-skinned and argumentative newcomers!princess wrote:No hard feelings here - just new to this type of banter I suppose, not my "cup a tea".
