Wenzzzday, TeaDay, 4/16/08
Yesterday's poll revealed almost 80% of responders experienced changes in their TeaTastes since last Spring. The discussion was very interesting as so many changes in tea tastes were revealed. I found it to be great conversation, over tea of course. You may still respond to the poll and topic.
Half way through the week...shincha is approaching fast, but never fast enough.
Welcome to TeaDay, fill a pot and share what is in your cup with everyone. Stop by through out the day and share updates. If you must, check in later in the day to reflect back on your TeaDay. Of course, while you are here, check out what everyone is drinking, that is a TeaBlast.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic...since yesterday was so interesting, let's go back to the future. Do you anticipate changes in your TeaTastes over the next year? Major, minor, a constant state of flux? Do you know the changes already. Share with us. I think this will be very interesting!!!
I am looking forward to a glimpse of your future! Have a great TeaDay.

I anticipate that all the teas I have read about on these forums I will have tried. Okay maybe like... 25 percent of them, you people drink a lot of teas!
Seriously though, I think I'll do my best to try all I can, so that my tastes will be completely different next year.
In my cup: Rooibos (tastes kind of strange on it's own when you're used to vanilla)

No, not likely. I'll still drink different unflavored black teas the majority of the time.
Red Rose again this morning in my work mug...

I don't know, but I wouldn't rule it out, seeing as the past year did bring a lot of changes. I'm sure I'll experiment with different types of tea, and stuff like matcha and pu-erh is on my to-try list. I guess I'll just see what happens.

I guess there will be some changes in my teatastes, but no dramatic changes: japanese greens will stay my favorite tea.
This morning, Yunnan Golden tips and houjicha in a few minutes.

It's funny cos I don't have 'plans' to change my teataste, it's not like someone asks me to start drinking tea. Only my body tells me when to change or not

If that's what he meant, I do have plans to taste all existing puerh as long as money exists and china green tea as long as time exists.

I have no plans to surprise myself either. However, I hate getting bored and like to try new things.

I expect my tastes will expand, not necessarily change. That is, I imagine I will always like what I like now, but trust that I will continue to explore new teas, expanding my palate and collection.

Since I'm still rather new to tea, I do expect my tastes to change somewhat. I am still having fun experimenting with all the different greens and oolongs. I hope to eventually limit my number of samples, stick to a few trusty favorites, and try some new ones here and there.
I am finishing up a nice cup of apricot green.

Yes, I am expecting some changes. There is always something new in addtion to old favorites. Who know by this time next year I may have gone green.
In my cup this morning Premium Yunnan Black Gold - again thanks to Salsero

Surely I'll have some changes/adjustments in a year's time. I DO try to remain flexible.
Drinking White Darjeeling this morning, but I haven't decided what to pull from the drawer next. It's to be a busy day, so probably something with a good bit more caffeine, like Irish Breakfast.
