Tuesday is TeaDay 4/22/08

by Chip » Apr 22nd, '08, 04:11

Yesterday, more responders indicated that cleaning all their teaware after each use was the one thing they disliked the most about tea. The second was over/under brewing. You can still vote and discuss this topic.

Welcome EVERYONE to TeaDay. The agenda here is to fill up your pot of tea and then share what is in your cup...a TeaBoast...throughout the the day...as your tea changes. Also, be sure to see what everyone else is sipping as well, that is quite entertaining. OH, if you need to, you can always reflect back on your TeaDay as well.

Today, we get as frivolous as possible, but it is fun learning little tid bits about each other on our shared TeaJourney! So, share with everyone your birth month!!! If you want, share the date as well, but not the year. While we are being frivolous, under what sign were you born?

OK, everyone, have a great TeaDay...

April 6th. Aries.

I'm still trying to decide what to buy myself for my birthday.

In my cup: yunnan gold (I guess I'll buy more of this)

End of July for me. Leo, of course, which I'm sure explains my affinity to the needles of silver (I know less about astrology than I know about 2003 Pu-erh (about which I know nothing)).

July 15, Cancer

I love birthdays. I'm ridiculous in celebrating my children's birthdays with fun and silliness. Everyone should have one day each year when she is queen of the world!

I'm back to really enjoying my Irish Breakfast on this cold, damp morning.

July, a Leo.

Assam Melody this morning and I think I like it better than the Harney Organic I tried yesterday. Is that okay to admit to on Earth Day?

December 19, Sagittarius. I despise long walks on the beach and abhor gazing into the sunset.

So far the cup has been Harney & Son's "Paris." It's pretty darn good for a flavored tea.

December 7 - a date which will live in infamy. (Well - not that December 7  )

That makes me another Sagittarius.

In my cup: Japanese sour cherry sencha.

A Formosa Shan Lin Xi in my cup - light oxidation, extra-light roast. Not so sure this is my favorite version of a high mountain oolong: seems a bit darkish. Does anyone else ever find the aroma of raisins or dates in the first infusion?

Back from work and some Darjeeling Namring SFTGFOP1 (Mariage Frères) in my cup. This package won't last much time I guess...
