Some rooibos to end the day, preparing my 2008 Darjeeling order: Phuguri, North Tukvar, Singbulli and perhaps Puttabong I guess.
Maybe some Gold Himalaya (Mariage frères).

Black Tea - Spring Flush 2008
Only produced in very small quantities, created « sur mesure » for Mariage Frères, from an exceptionnal flush, the very first one of this year.
- leaves: large, elegant, slightly twisted and hand rolled, rich in gold and silver tips, recalling the fragrance of rosewood.
- nose: a reminder of hazelnuts and fresh almonds underpinned by an impression of floral honey.
- liquor: golden yellow, with an enveloping scent of white peach, long in the mouth and ending on a floral note.
A magnificent Himalayan harvest.
Did anyone by chance already have this tea (or last year's harvest?)
Maybe some Gold Himalaya (Mariage frères).

Yes, the chat does seem to be down. Judging from the message, it seems to be an outside server (teafair.com, which is registered to someone at Adagio), so I don't know that it will be easy to fix on this side. I blame 1&1 (the host of that box).

These are some beautiful leaves, olivierco! With exception of Puttabong, I have not seen the rest of estates in US shops. Just drank my last cup this day: green rooibos. Ummm! Wonderful 
Earlier I've only had black teas, and alot. Two brewings of Fair Trade Darjeeling First Flush, some unknown black tea flavored with amaretto and raisins (for relaxing
), Yunnan Gold, and two breewings of Nilgiri FOP.
The Darjeeling First Flush was very cheap - half the price of none fair trade - and that could be tasted in the tea I'm afraid. It tasted very much like a usual Darjeeling but dried out my mouth.
The amaretto tea is okay. Yunnan Gold reminded me of Pu Ehr I think. Strange. Have to drink it tomorrow and think more about the taste. Nilgiri FOP and I didn't get along. It became very bitter. Yuck

April here as you probably know. I am a little sad to see that on the 16th I turned double the age of Lady Tiger... Boo hoo. (I wasn't concerned about 34 until I realized that.)

Just as I was heating the water for second tea of the day, which I had thought would be Casablanca Twist, I looked on my front porch and saw that the UPS fairy had brought my Adagio package. Yipee! So my Casablanca Twist turned into Citron Green. Yum.
The Adagio package also holds the much discussed and much anticipated sample of TKY. I think I need to find a monk to bless the house first ....

V93 Menghai pu-erh. Nice sample. Cooked, so, the Pu heads still won't let me play with them though!

Interestingly, 1.9% of responders were born in January. So, if someone is born in January, they are not likely to become a tea drinker.
I am moving on to another Japanese green I think.
