I'm having problems with TeaChat...

by PolyhymnianMuse » Apr 22nd, '08, 17:45

Well I woke up this morning and noticed that the chat room doesn't work for me. It gives me a "this program cannot display the webpage" page where the teachat room should be. Everything else seems to be working fine though...

I hope some of you tea people know as much about computers as you do tea :)

I'm getting the same error. I have been for several hours. D:

Perhaps its teachat itself than... I was just worried it was something to do with specifically me but if others are getting the same error...

*Goes and makes more tea while teachat gets fixed*

There seems to be a problem with the server the live chat is hosted on. I'm sure it will be sorted out eventually. Until then, why not spam the boards with some nice posts on tea?

The TeaChat IM isn't showing up for me either. I'm sure it'll start working again soon!

Show respect to the ancestors through ritual and they will bring back the chat.

We are aware of the problem and hope to have it resolved within a day or two. Sorry for the delay.

As usual, I think Wesli has the right approach here.

At first, I was worried Chip had closed it down because of the unrestrained flirting going on there last night. Never send a lone woman into a bar full of men unless she's armed! That seems to go double for tea bars.

Haha thanks Chip, in my frantic rush I didn't think to put it here :P

Are the monkeys in the back banging on the chat generator?

I am unfortunately too aware of this. Funny, I thought this was a tea forum, not a singles chat room. Hopefully this is enough said and my point is made.

Thread split! If you're interested in seeing the abrupt turn to literary theory that happened right after the previous post, head over here!

Sorry for the length of time it's taking to fix the TeaChat IM window. Seems that the server we were hosting that functionality has completely died. I'll try to move the code to another Adagio server asap.

At least one member, Henley, is getting booted off TC I think when the IM screen displays the error message after 20 seconds. I experience a "hiccup" with my entire screen when this happens, but hopefully, her situation will be corrected when IM is back up.
