Sunday's TeaDay 5/04/08

Yesterday, most responders indicated they do not vary their tea tastes by changing seasons, but most felt their tastes are changing nevertheless. You may still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Welcome one and all to TeaDay. Brew some tea and come share what is in your cup through out the day. Be sure to check out what fellow TeaChatters are sipping as well. If you need to, you can also reflect back on your TeaDay.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic was suggested by Hop. Since he put the word "thinking" in quotes, I suppose you can interpret this in a number of ways. Please share your thoughts on how much you "think" about tea typically.

I think about what to brew but normally it's an impulse decision when I reach into the cabinets...

I do sometimes catch myself thinking about trying something new and thinking about where to order it from, but that usually only happens after I've been here.

I guess I check in here about 3 times a day so under 60 mins. total for me...

I usually spend hours looking at teas online, surfing chat rooms and blogs, and of course drinking tea each day. I'm completely obsessed. It's even surpassed my obsession with kitchenwares (why do I have three different patterns of table settings?) and movies (up to 1100+ blu-rays and dvds).

Currently drinking 2007 Xiaguan "FT" #4 raw pu thanks yet again to King Sal. Love it yo.

Specifically "thinking" about tea is for me less than 30 min a day. I actually prefer drinking tea, discussing and reading about tea.
Most of my "thinking" about tea is planning what tea to buy, resisting buying some really cool teaware, planning some experimentation, anticipating while riding home after work what tea I will drink...

This morning keemun with breakfast and sencha karigane.

Most of my time thinking about tea is spent staring into the tea drawer & trying to decide which tea to make. Sometimes more choices are not a good thing.

Today is Cinnamon Roll Sunday at our house. Got a pot of Oolong #8 steeping, the cinn rolls are baking & I've already got the fruit ready. Wanna come over for bfast? Gotta run...my timer just beeped.

I have visions of June Cleaver. Seriously. My kids wanna move in with you!

The only "thinking" I do about tea is what I'm going to choose at any given time and the brain pops that happen when I learn something here.

This morning, Adagio's Spring Darjeeling, which I'm very much enjoying.

Like Trioxin, I'm a little obsessed, so I guess I'd say "less than 90." A lot of this is visiting here and also visiting tea vendor websites.

Starting the day off with a very nice tea from Tao of Tea called Mirik Valley. I guess it's an off-Darjeeling as it from a location about 30 miles away. Pleasantly astringent and a little spicy. I definitely recommend this to Darjeeling lovers.

I am not going to lie, I think about tea almost all day. But to be fair it is because I drink it all day. Not to mention that I am on teachat. Ok Ok, I just think about tea!

I've resorted to getting chivalrous young Yankees to make my chocolate runs for me! (Thanks, Joel! ) I have yet to find that housekeeper, though. Oh, well, at least my teawear is clean.

I probably think about tea less than 60 minutes a day. I think about tea during the times I regularly try to brew tea: when I wake up, sometime in the afternoon, and in the evening.

This morning, I brewed a nice cuppa emerald petals.

Some days I'd say very little, only when I drink it. Other days the amount of time I'd spend thinking about it goes up dramatically if I'm messing around with it at work, or working on the blog. It just depends on how involved my day is with tea.
