When I realized I love tea...
It was only yesterday. I have been drinking loose leaf since about this christmas, and have been fairly obsessed. I have been sucked in, and spent what seemed like a good bit of money and time on Tea (until I saw this forum...). I usually drank anywhere from a pot a day to five or so. So yesterday, I was feeling a bit down and went to restock my stash. I went to my usual tea haunt, and only had time to try a very tiny sample (Silver Needle). I realized that when I was walking out of the store, I had a huge grin on my face. This really suprised me, and I started to wonder specifically what made me so happy. I realized that it was the tea. Then I started to think back. I have never walked into a tea store, and not ended up in the corner one on one with someone debating second flush versis first flush darjeeling, or weighing the pros and cons of cast iron. That's when it hit me: Tea is love. Sure enough, today at lunch, when I poured myself a cuppa, I started to laugh and smile. I guess what I'm trying to say is, Tea is more than simply a cup of steeped leaves that tastes good. It is a state of mind, a feeling that starts in your stomache and bursts out of your eyes. I feel like I have reached the next level of Tea, and I can only hope it gets better from here.
