Japanese Restaurant Tea
Had tea at a Japanese Rest. in Las Vegas. Not sure whay type it was
the color was a med. green color and was delightfull with just a squeeze of lemon . I have tried Sencha not the same. Any suggestions?

You may be surprised to know that much of the tea available in Japanese restaurants is actually from China. Chinese varieties tend to be less expensive. And since it's an Asian custom to offer tea complimentary, economic factors weight heavily in making this selection. Hence, a preference for Chinese greens. recently had iced tea flavored w/ passionfruit at a hamburger place called Island Burger. when we asked the manager where to get the tea he said "Restaurant tea"Cannot find that source, he said it was local. We are in S.California.
