Shu Puerh and Lantana

Shu Puerh can be darker than coffee and stronger tasting.

The flowers are Lantana; the tea, a 2004 Huali Tea Factory ripe brick, revealed in a 2 oz Bodum double-walled gong fu cup. Yummmmm…

I deff love tea just for tea, but I also love tea not only for the potential health benefits but a healthy alternative to all the sugar & syrup drinks.

Sal that is a lovely picture, and everything in it is lovely as well. That gaiwan has a beautiful design and those double-walled cups looks so good with tea in them

What kind of flowers are they? Yellow happens to be my favorite color

I can't think of any reason NOT to drink tea...

Going with an old stand-by today; Red Rose...when I get home, I'll break into my new box of black tea samples and see if I can keep the streak alive of having some fantastic new teas to try out. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

When I found tea (by which I mean GOOD tea, not bags), I could find nothing wrong with it. It was/is the perfect alternative to anything I was drinking at the time. Nowadays, even if someone found a profound health drawback to tea, I probably wouldn't stop.

So I love it, and the health benefits are a nice perk.

In my cup: Oh my, it's empty, time for bed.

I love tea, I wouldn't drink it if I didn't, period. Having said that, I need the caffeine since I don't drink coffee, and it's much healthier than sodas or something really bad for me like, say, moonshine.

So some advice, please, TCers: I'm going to a campground all day today, OMG, with the children. We are not spending the night, for various reasons, but will be there for hours and hours and hours and .... So the question is, to take green tea, should I boil water and put it in a thermos, trusting it will cool to appropriate temp, and take tea separately? Or should I brew it up and take it in said thermos?

I am not really in love with this one. It feels awkward for some reason. Keep burning my fingers.

Why I started: I was working a job where I was drinnking a lot of caffeine to stay awake! I was sick of soda/coffee and looked for an alternative. I guess if I were concerned about something healthy I could have had a V-8. Can you imagine guzzling 4-6 V-8's during the workday???? I'd be a bigger mess than I was drinking a couple diet cokes!

I love tea, but also love those nifty antioxidants. I also enjoy the caffeine and the fact that somehow tea caffeine doesn't make me jittery the way coffee does.

This morning I'm drinking Ceylon OP, Adawatte Estate. This tea has gotten me excited about Ceylons again. I hadn't been drinking them for a while, but now I can't get enough. It prompted me to order some of Adagio's Ceylon Sonata, which also rocks.

I drink tea simply because I enjoy it & it's a something I can do for myself w/o getting a babysitter.

It's Saturday morning--time for June Cleaver to report for duty. This has been a busy week at my house & decided to treat family to a pretty bfast. In the pot is oolong #8.

I love tea but am happy that it is beneficial. Makes each cup even sweeter, but would drink it no matter what.

Yunnan Gold in the first cup of the day and now searching for something green and possibly Japanese...
