Sample tin tops

by teamuse » Dec 5th, '05, 21:58

Hey gang...
I just got my order of tea and noticed something kind of strange...
on some of the sample tins, it looks like the top had the Adagio emblem stamped backwards(or more accurately in mirror).

It's not a big deal...just something I noticed and went...hummmmm

picture submitted for your viewing pleasure...and no this is NOT a photochop

Finally.... someone noticed :)

The last batch of tins were mis-stamped for us and i thought i was the only one it was driving nuts. Not to worry... we have redesigned the new tins and have done away with the embossed adagio logo.

I guess I haven't gotten any of the new ones, or maybe I didn't have any of the old ones, more likely.

:( why are you getting rid of the logo? I hope you are doing something else cool. I like the logo.

To specify, the new sample tins will have our logo, just not embossed.

How will the design be on them, then? Painted, sticker-ized...? :)

Or do we just have to wait and see?

I think Ilya and Chris are going to draw them on with crayons. Or maybe Sharpies.

I don't want to ruin the surprise :)

I'll give you a hint... The tins will have the exact same shape, but will no longer be silver.

Oooo, now I am so intrigued. I will have to buy all of the samples all over again, won't I? :P

When will we be seeing these new fancy schmancy tins?

I noticed just last night that a couple of my lids are backwards too. It's really amusing! Though I can see why it would drive you nuts, Ilya. I'd be irked too. But since it doesn't reflect upon me or my company, I'm content to be amused.

I'm very intrigued by these new tins... Not silver? Does that mean Adagio is well-off enough to send us tea in 14 K gold tins??? OOOOOH, maybe platinum's next!!!

WOW, I had one of those tins and I didn't even notice it until now when I looked. How long have these mirror image logo tins been floating around? Its been a few months since I've received any tins although I'll have to check the sample order that I placed last night when it arrived for any more of these tins as who knows they might become valuable collectors items some day.

But I like silver! :(

You're so mean, Ilya!
;)
Just teasing. Can't wait!

And I'm going to do my best to NOT look at my tins. I have a mild case of OCD and the image being backwards is one of those things that would drive me up the wall. So, mayhap, I shouldn't look. Or I may be donating backwards tins to people while my poor tea has... nowhere... to... go.

One piece of advice Tadiera, "duct tape" is the solution to your problem. If you find a backwards tin, simply cover the top in duct tape so it can't drive you up the wall (although if you want to go up the wall duct tape is strong enough to tape you to the wall). Likewise if the new tins are no longer your beloved silver make your own silver gray tins with duct tape.
