want to start a tea room in los angeles
Are there any resources in Los Angeles, California? There has to be something in California where I can go and train or learn about tea and opening a tea room. Can anyone help?

I want to be a tea master in Los Angeles too. Oh but how?
Me too. I'm also in Los Angeles and want to learn everything about tea. This is what I know so far.
The Specialty Tea Institute (STI) is a division of Tea Association of the U.S.A. offers STI CERTIFICATION PROGRAM Level I: Foundation Series Foundations of Tea: Level One
In Long Beach in May 3 & 4, 2007.
I'm not sure what the cost it. To be a member of Tea Association of the U.S.A. is $250 for individuals. I was told by someone at STI there is a discount for members for the seminars but the cost was unclear.
Kisha Omer at STI said "There are extra fees but we have two tiers of pricing....members are discounted for the classes and non-members are not, and it is a pretty significant difference...between $150 to $200." This is the same training that will be at the Tea Expo in 2007.
Let me know if you find out anything out.
