I think the trick with the Bodum glasses is to google the exact name:
Bodum Pavina Double-Wall Thermo Glasses. They come in several sizes, I have the 9 oz and the 2 oz for gong fu. I got mine for $14.17 for a set of 2 from Amazon at

To celebrate the international Oolong Day I opened my last Wuyi sample - Rou Gui. I am not disappointed, but neither I am impressed with it. Perhaps, the charcoal flavor is not for me at this time.
When I finish the Rou Gui, I will make some Huang Ya as I wanted to since yesterday.

Finishing they day with Pai Mu Tan after Yunnan Gold, Sencha and TKY. Good old Pai Mu Tan! I got some as birthday present last november and remember how exotic it was
The TKY tasted really fresh and I made three infusions. I've started to move away more and more from black tea the last weeks. Sure I like Yunnan but it's nothing like a delicate, light tea. It's more lika being hitten in the head than gently touched

In honor of Oolong Day I decided to try a sample of Silk Oolong I received from Red Blossom. I'd never had a silk/milk oolong. Is it me or does it taste like cotton candy? Weird. I think I'll have to revert to a more traditional oolong to end the day. - Or maybe I should have Orange Blossom Oolong in honor of our dear fill-in moderator.

In honor of this day I pulled out my sample of oolong #40, not my cuppa. I also found in searching though, a sample of TKY that so many talk about as well as a sample of organic qi lan. If you have any brewing suggestions for either, please let me know. Thanks!!

Victoria, the Phoenix Dan Cong from TeaCuppa that you mentioned earlier sounds like it might be worth trying, especially since it's a darker oolong. I'll have to check that one out.
Off to make a cuppa OBO in honor of our sub-mod. Thanx for filling in & keeping TD going for those of us who didn't get to go to the Expo!

I just finished up a cup of Adagio Oolong #40, I really enjoy this one. Jim, what about it didn't you like? For Adagio TKY I go 5 mins just off boil.
Next up - I'm getting ready to brew a different Dan Cong.

I started of the day w/ some dian hong, then, in honor of oolong day, moved on to some dan Cong from mighty leaf ( a free sample).
I gong fu'd both and got 20-30 infusions from each. I always like to brew tea 'till it's dead.

Only managed to have one tea today: a Darjeeling Oolong from tea source. (thank you, V.) Very smooth and light, and too soon for me to tell if I like this one or Adagio's better. Either way, it has 2 of my favorite tastes: tea grown in Darjeeling and processed as an oolong.

I guess there is a lot of Dan Cong being brewed today!
I'm on my second one myself - This one from Jing Shop
Winter Single Bush Ba Xian
Looking a little less roasted and slightly lighter in color when brewed.
The taste of this one is overall lighter than the TeaCuppa one. Yet -
I'm getting a strong qi feeling here.
