Tuesday's teaDay 6/10/08

by Chip » Jun 10th, '08, 02:01

Yikes...just deleted all my inbox PMs by accident.

Yesterday, TeaChatters decided if they were rolling in the dough, they would first look at a new teapot purchase. You can still vote and discuss this topic.

Welcome to TeaDay everyone, let's all brew and share what is in out cups today, all day! If you need to, you can reflect back on your TeaDay.

Today, we get to bash a tea, a rare negative TeaDay. So, if one tea was the last tea on the entire planet, but you still would not brew it, let alone drink it, what would it be? Why this tea?

I am looking forward to sharing my TeaDay with everyone here today. So, bottoms up, refill, repeat many times...

I have never got a good infusion out of Liu-An basket tea... so either that or the dusty low quality murky teapot clogging green tea type generally called as fukamushi

(edit: but actually I would brew any tea if it was the last tea on the planet)

I've had so many less than ideal teas, but I'll cast my vote with Photiou, since he mentioned the basket case first.

Another lovely FF Darj from Trioxin. Thanks. The flowers are from the Chaste Tree, a bush with a history going back to ancient Greek festivals in honor of Demeter. The plant has been long associated with fertility, marriage, agriculture, chastity, and medical applications.* BTW, also looks nice!

Probably one of those nasty fruit infusion things... but then that isn't actual tea so I'll go with herbal

Kirameki this morning :D

Rooibos for me. I just can't stomach the stuff...

Trying my luck at work this week with the day shift. Trying to get motivated with some Wagh Bakri CTC Assam.

Rooibos, hands down. Can't stand it, won't drink it. No tea yet this morning. Can't decide.

It's a toss up between lapsang and yerba mate, but I voted for lapsang.

This morning I am enjoying a cup of TKY.

Have a great day, everyone!

Anything involving blueberries, blueberries do not belong in tea. Oh, and anything with honey, I have a thing against consuming stuff I'm allergic to
Life is like a cup of tea, savor it slowly or it will be gone too fast

Like others said, being the last tea on Earth I will probably brew and drink it.

Unless it's this:

CHOCOLATE SMOOTH MOVE®
Herbal Stimulant Laxative
Roasted breadnut seed, licorice root, cocoa seed dry extract, roasted carob pod.

Some people are put off by the scent of shu pu erh. I'm sorry, but I'm put off the by the whole concept.

Compost belongs under the tea bushes, feeding the roots and making fine green leaves.

It doesn't belong in my cup. :(

So, if it were the last tea in the world, I'd still use it as compost.

My thoughts exactly. Pu erh scares me.

Hibiscus tea this morning. Dell is supposed to be out later today to replace my video card in my laptop. Actually, they will replace the motherboard because the video card is attached. I can't wait to have a working computer again. Well, it works but the screen is doing this lovely multi-colored pinstripe thing so I can't see anything on it. I can only use it if I remote into it. And I'm pretty sure that the fact that I actually have been remoting into it to use it makes me a nerd.
