My own private box pass...

by Geekgirl » Jun 24th, '08, 17:35

It rained xmas in June for me today. I received samples from Den's, two teachatters and a IRL friend in the mail today. OMG! It's almost like getting a teapass box! I can't wait for the oolong box, YAY!

That was me last week. I still haven't tried everything. Plus I know the oolong box is coming soon, right Tenuki?

Oolong box? huh?

Very cool GG, getting tea from friends who know what they are doing is great. Getting tea from friends who don't is, um, awkward.

Ha! Like the box of grocery store brand "jasmine" teabags that smells like Desitin baby butt creme?

"I know you LOVE jasmine tea, so I brought you a present!"

"Um, okay, thanks?"

Congrats on your windfall!

Not to compare to your windfall, but today I did receive 3 Ito En samples that I never tried before from Japan...from Joel!

I might have been your sample twin on that one, can't wait to try them (thanks joel!), and look forward to your comments on the same tea! (Since I'm a sencha n00b and all  )

I also (since I'm telling tales,) got some yummy smelling flavored oolongs from our OOOLalaLong Queen Victoria. Too bad I need to sleep tonight or I'd dive in right away.

Other treats that landed on my desk today consisted of a peacock cup, a beautiful handthrown yunomi, (pics later,) and a doggy painting. I know it's not tea, but it's soooooo cute!
