i'm new to loose tea (i made my first cup tonight). I had ordered adagio's english breakfast tea and it's not very black, more like light brown. is this normal? thanks!

Black tea

Black tea isn't necessarily black in color...it's usually a shade of brown. At least when I make it! So I think you are fine.

Lizzy-

Be sure to use one teaspoon of black tea leaves per six-to-eight ounces of water. I find that EB usually brews a deep medium brown. You may not have steeped long enough, or you may not have used enough leaves.
