New Teafanatic

by Rainy » Jul 15th, '08, 21:41

Greetings to everyone-
I have so enjoyed reading all of the wonderful posts on all of the topics. I just had to sign on and say thank you, thank you, thank you for your years of experience, honesty and kindness that is shared so freely.
I have learned tons and I have a new hobby now! :D

A little bit about myself- I live in Tucson AZ, lifelong tea drinker, mom, teacher, avid reader and doggy mommy of two boston terriers.
New interests- gung fu, matcha and the ceremony surrounding great tea. I am ordering many samples from adagio to get a start on trying many loose leaf teas. I confess I have been a Twinnings Earl Grey person since age 10.

I am looking forward to trying many of the recommendations I have seen on this forum- and please feel free to make suggestions.

Happy Tea Day!

Welcome! I hope you enjoy it here as much as I have. I can only say... think "oolong"... it's fabulous. 8)

***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***

Happy Tea Day!
Suggestion one...stay away from the Oolongonians...they are

Suggestion two...you can probably figure out to stay away from pu-heads on your own.

Suggestion three...Can't say anything bad about the black tea drinkers here, except they don't have a nick name yet.

Suggestion four...hang out with the green tea collective, we would love to assimilate you!

Be sure to visit TeaDay by clicking here and share what is your cup!!!

Oh, and welcome to TeaChat! :D

Welcome!! I have only one suggestion to make your stay here
more rewarding and enjoyable:

Suggestion one...stay away from Chip's advice.

Oh, and welcome to TeaChat! :D

Rainy...don't look into Victoria's cup, whatever you do. It is full of subliminal Oolongonian messages.

And it is monsoon season here so we actually have rain
most every day or two.
Hard to believe but it is very green here.

Rainy, don't join their baseball team! Join our baseball team!

Heh. Sometimes TeaChat is a little combative ... in an utterly friendly, hurling-of-used-tealeaves kind of way, of course. (And even then, hurling takes place only after multiple steepings.)

Anyway, welcome, and it's a pleasure to have you - regardless of which team you're attracted to, be it Oolongians or Shinchanians

P.S. Japanese greens rule.

Hi Rainy! Welcome to TeaChat!

The black tea drinkers welcome you!
Although my neighbors are all barbarians,
And you, you are a thousand miles away,
There are always two cups on my table.
