Two Year Comparison

by hop_goblin » Jul 26th, '08, 19:33

I decided to check out some of my beengs and see if my 06's are aging correctly. Well, I decided to go with the 06' Spring of Menghai by Dayi. After two years of careful aging you can certainly see the difference! The color looks richer and the taste is mellowing however far from over.

Thanks Brandon! Although, I must admit, I have have only been using "Medusa" for only 3 months. But nevertheless, my closet is a constant 65% RH without it only very little flucuation.

Medusa Rocks! All I can say is lock your doors, Hop! Turn on the alarm and get yourself a big, gnarly rotweiler.

I am much to afraid of attracting dampness anywhere in my house. Reading your humidor stories are satisfaction enough . . . for now.

Holy mackerel, Hop, how tall are you? It looks like about 50 feet from that pitcher to the floor! You must get dizzy just looking down at your shoes.

Is it the pu that made you grow so tall?

Nice looking stuff! Yummm...

Hm, I live in a cellar and there's sort of a humid smell here. Would that be good for pu?
The noise comes from the other side of the mirror

Yes, it is indeed working. The flavors are still quite strong and somewhat aggressive. But I would expect this from that they are spring material in addition to being so young. The flavors are becomming a bit more layered. They are doing well!
