Yesterday, China was the choice of more TeaChatters as the origin of their fave tea for July. You can still vote and discuss this topic.

Welcome one and all to TeaDay, Friday version. This requires lots of brewing and sharing what is in our cups today, all day.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic is about the region of India, well the teas from this region. So, if you could only choose one area for tea from this region, which would it be and why? If you need some help with tea growing areas, see the poll. Bonus, what regions do you like, dislike?

As always, I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

I often drink Darjeeling. It is quite easy to find some very good ones (at least to my taste).
Phuguri (Palais des thés) and Namring (Mariage frères) are my favorite for 2008 harvest.
This morning Keemun with breakfast .

Uji Kirameki sencha

A delicate asamushi (light-steamed) sencha sourced from an ancient tea house in Japan. You can see the hint of it though the ceramic.

Olivierco: I suggest you try Jun Chiyabari Himalayan jade oolong. If you enjoy darjeelings I think you will like that one. Palais des thes sells it, same name, batch J44.

Think I'll have to answer Darjeeling here. Nepal comes close.

Today I'm having some Feng Huang Milan Dancong with it's lovely lychee aroma :)

Ick! Have you tried any really good Assam?

Can't vote in the poll yet. It gave me the confused feeling I get sometimes when trying to choose what to brew. I like them all for different reasons and different moods. This year however, Nepal had/has me quite hooked. It's been my go-to tea when I can't decide.

Golden Yunnan this morning (of course!) not sure where I'll go from here. :wink:

As far as I know, only one of these is known for its whites, and I've had some excellent Silver Tip from there. Darjeeling FTW.

Darjeeling for me but I have to say Nilgiri is a very close second.

Well, I said darjeeling, but only because the one I've had I like - it kind of reminds me a bit of an oolong. :lol: But the other stuff, yeah, just can't do. Mind you, I haven't tried all the options on there, so there might be something good that I'd like. Anyone want to send me one cup samples of unflavored black teas for me to try?

SOOO ticked this morning. I was in a great mood - caffeine + peppy music = happy me. But then something happened at work and I just know exactly what will come of it and that anticipated result is making me boil. How dumb is that? It hasn't even happened yet (and there is a chance that it won't!) but I'm ready to quit and walk out. Sigh. I realize I'm a dork feeling like this, but I'm still steamed!

I'm almost hoping the anticipated result happens today because I want to quit so badly. Ugh.

I think this is the problem with not having to work. Makes it hard to keep doing it when I don't want to. :evil:

Surprisingly I actually went with Ceylon, only because I recently found two that I absolutely adore. Otherwise I think I would have said Darjeeling. Too hard.

I just read Auggy's message about being ready to quit. I think the hardest thing about my job as a SAHM is that I CAN'T quit. Today is a day that I think I would have at least requested a personal day if I could have. :roll:

I think I'll continue my contradictory nature and go brew some Assam. So there.
