I thought this would be a little interesting comparing the results. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Good TeaDay one and all TeaChatters. Shall we brew and share what is in our cups today! All day!

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic is about Black Tea. Do you drink it? Is there a particular time of the day you will drink it? Hot or cold?

I am as always looking forward to sharing teaDay with everyone.

When the teacup just gets in the way ...

by Salsero » Aug 6th, '08, 02:20

Sometimes the chataku itself is so lovely that the yunomi chawan just gets in the way and you have to set it aside in order to better enjoy the resplendent chataku alone. Thanks, Olivierco.

I made some sort of weird black iced tea today. Four bags of Tazo Awake, two of Stash Yamamotoya (sp) oolong, a healthy dose of Yunnan Pure Gold, some dark roast TGY, some ben shan, and a sprinkle of Vietnamese golden buds, with lemon. It wasn't bad for just trying to use up some neglected and aging teas.

I drink black tea occasionally, no particular time of the day though. Gonna make me some nice Darjeeling for my breakfast I think :)

I am glad that you liked it and that it arrived safely.

I have very often black tea with my breakfast (Yunnan golden tips or keemun) and less frequently during the day.

This morning Yunnan golden tips.

All day long. It's still my favorite. I use greens, oolongs and whites as a "change of pace" tea.

I will drink black tea very occasionally, and mostly when I'm visiting someone.

Not a black tea fan, Assam makes me nauseous. Just finished up a quantity of Golden Yunan that I was fine with. Mainly stick to Pu Ehr, Oolong. Occasionally go through phases of green.

Happy Wednesday.

Golden Yunnan every day for the past year and a half or so... it is a daily ritual for me. First cup~ black tea. After that it depends on the day or the moment.

Happy TeaDay, all!

Black tea's my least favorite, but still something I drink often enough. Though I am more inclined to drink Irish Breakfast in the morning.

My first cup is usually Black Tea.
I tend to only drink it in the mornings.

Yunnan Gold this morning.

Have a nice Day everyone!

Clearly it's a Yunnan Gold morning! I'm awaiting the Tea Timer chime to tell me mine's ready for that wonderful first morning cup.

Black tea is always my first cup of the morning, winter or summer. I'll usually make a pot of it--Yunnan Gold, Golden Monkey, Irish Breakfast, Assam, or commerical brands--Typhoo, PG Tips, Barry's, Lifeboat, Scottish Breakfast, etc. We drink it British-style with milk and sugar.

Black tea-iced tea usually accompanies both lunch and dinner. This is always without sugar. I sometimes put lemon in mine.

Sometimes at work I'll make black tea for a mid-afternoon treat around 4:00. Toward evening I may experiment around with oolong or green, but black tea is my favorite and probably always will be.

Viva le Dark Side!

If I am feeling a little more sluggish than normal in the morning, then I will reach for a cup of black tea - thank goodness for caffeine. Any other time of day I drink greens and whites.

Ah, just two more days until the weekend!
